About Us
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world: Indeed it's the only thing that ever has." Margaret Mead
Ten Ways to Change the World in Your Twenties is an organization and book whose mission is to offer tangible ideas to young adults who wish to be active in shaping the world in which we live, but may lack the guidance and resources to easily do so. The book discusses our social, environmental, and political responsibilities. At the same time, it offers innovative strategies and suggestions to the next generation of leaders for improving the world they are inheriting. The website offers a forum for discussion about how to enhance the world at both a local and global level. It also provides resource guides to businesses and organizations already making a difference in their communities.
Ten Ways to Change the World in Your Twenties is an organization designed to tap into the potential of our energetic, influential generations by offering ways for us all to change the world using our own unique gifts. Please visit us often and contact us with your ideas as well as your experiences using some of the products and ways listed on this site. We see this website as a dynamic work in progress and a gathering of a community of activists. We hope you will offer your feedback in order to help us all in our efforts to change the world.
About the Author
Libuse Binder is a writer, teacher, and coach who has spent most of her adult life working with young trendsetters in Los Angeles and New York. She drives a fuel-efficient vehicle, is a low-impact omnivore, and is constantly striving to find innovative ways to be a socially and environmentally conscious consumer. She has worked in film production on the East and West Coasts and currently teaches English and yoga in New York. Libuse understands what it is like to live on a limited income, work 60-70 hours a week, and feel overwhelmed by the environmental and social problems facing our generation. She was inspired to found this organization because she believes in the incredible power that we each have when we use our unique talents to effect change. She doesn't just write about this subject matter; she lives it.
